According to Bill Rosemann—one of Luna’s creators—in an interview with ComicBook.com, the developers at Netmarble sought a character capable of both healing and dealing damage. Since Marvel lacked a character that filled this niche, Rosemann, alongside Danny Koo and Min-Kyun Kim, conceptualized Luna Snow to meet this need.
The Netmarble team, hailing from South Korea, aimed to create a hero that would resonate culturally with their audience. This vision materialized in Luna Snow’s alter ego, Seol Hee, a K-pop idol. Although Luna has appeared in various Marvel Comics series and joined teams like the Agents of Atlas, she has yet to feature in her own ongoing series. Nonetheless, her unique side project—music—distinguishes her from her superhero peers.

To cultivate her character’s popularity, Marvel has released a collection of five songs attributed to Luna Snow. The songs feature performances from various popular South Korean artists, such as Hyungseo and Minmin from Busters, current member Jieun, and another performer coincidentally named Luna.
Beyond her musical initiatives and roles in Future Fight and Marvel Rivals, Luna has also been featured in Marvel Snap and Marvel Super War. Despite not having made significant waves in the comics or major cinematic releases, she has emerged as a favored character across Marvel’s multimedia endeavors. With her status as one of the premier healers in Marvel Rivals, there’s potential for Luna Snow’s popularity to surge if the game garners success.
