This loss is also applicable to bosses that provide permanent stat enhancements—if you defeat the King in the Mists right after your character falls, you will miss the Spiritbloom consumable. Consequently, players must re-initiate a fresh instance to tackle the boss again, delaying the acquisition of that crucial stat boost.

Players should exercise caution to avoid death-induced effects and enemies that appear post-boss defeat as powerful items could drop just after your demise. The disappointment of seeing valuable loot like Exalted Orbs or Mirrors of Kalandra disappear due to timing issues can be disheartening, particularly in high-stakes gameplay.

For those engaged in Hardcore mode, the consequences are even starker; dying equates to a permanent death sentence for that character, transferring them to the Standard realm without the option to continue in Hardcore mode.
