Why Health Upgrades Are Essential in REPO
Characters in REPO are not invincible and are vulnerable to monster attacks. While the health upgrade won’t guarantee survival, it can provide you with critical time to gather loot and evade foes. Essentially, increased health translates to a better survival rate.
At the onset of each game, you and your teammates begin with 100 total health. It’s possible to utilize your hard-earned currency for health packs or to bolster your total health by an additional 20 through upgrades. While health packs serve their purpose, commencing a run with an extra 20 health is often a wiser investment than relying on health packs during the phases between rounds.
Given that some monsters can inflict substantial damage capable of knocking you out instantly, having that additional health is crucial for avoiding untimely elimination.
How to Obtain the Health Upgrade
You can acquire the health upgrade from the Service Station located between rounds. This in-game shop caters to your monster-slaying and survival requisites. The upgrade typically costs between $6000 and $8000, a reasonable price considering the enhanced capabilities it provides your character.
Remember, the threats in REPO extend beyond just monsters. Your teammates can inadvertently become hazards due to the friendly-fire system, jeopardizing your progress if an overzealous ally misfires. Therefore, it’s prudent to allocate funds towards extra health and protective measures.
