The newly launched remastered edition of the classic 2006 zombie game Dead Rising has garnered significant acclaim. Set in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado, players are tasked with rescuing multiple survivors trapped inside a zombie-overrun shopping mall. You’ll need to utilize any weapon at your disposal to fend off the relentless hordes.
While completing the main storyline typically requires between 6 to 9 hours, the developers have introduced an exciting feature known as Overtime mode to extend your gaming experience. In this article, we will detail how to unlock the Overtime mode in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
What is Overtime mode in Dead Rising and how can you unlock it?
To unlock Overtime mode in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, you must first complete the main ’72-hour’ campaign. This primary storyline unfolds over three in-game days, equating to approximately six hours of real-world gameplay. After you’ve finished the main quest, you gain access to Overtime mode, offering an additional 3 hours of gameplay, or 24 hours in-game time.
Once you’ve wrapped up the story, head over to Isabela before making your way to the helipad located above the Security Room at 12 PM. After waiting for Ed to pick you up from the helipad, you will experience a cutscene. Following this brief cutscene, you’ll be dropped directly into the Overtime mode.

After successfully completing Overtime mode, players will unlock the Infinity mode. This mode offers ultimate freedom with no time constraints. If you’re aiming to achieve all the achievements and trophies in this mode, expect it to take around 25 to 35 hours to fully complete Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered.
