Unlocking Precious Chests in Genshin Impact: Sulfurous Veins Guide

In the Sulfurous Veins area of Natlan, players can engage in a specific puzzle that yields one Common Chest and one Precious Chest as rewards. While the Common Chest is easily visible, the Precious Chest is concealed and requires players to solve a puzzle for it to be unlocked. To complete this puzzle, players need to indwell a Tepetlisaurus and strike specific glowing spots on the ground. Successfully doing so will unveil both the Common and Precious Chests.

This guide outlines the necessary steps to complete the Sulfurous Veins puzzle and reveal the hidden Precious Chest.

The puzzle is situated in the central area of Sulfurous Veins. To reach there, teleport to the main waypoint of Sulfurous Veins and face south. You’ll find a locked Common Chest nearby, alongside several Tepetlisaurs and Tepetlisaur Whelps. Additionally, a Natlan Shrine of Depths is located nearby.

Guide to Unlock the Hidden Precious Chest in Sulfurous Veins

Completing the puzzle in Sulfurous Veins provides players with two chests. Follow these steps to unlock both the Common Chest and the hidden Precious Chest:

Step 1: Indwell a Tepetlisaurus

For this challenge, you need to indwell one of the nearby Tepetlisaurs to proceed. Choose any Tepetlisaurus available in the vicinity.

Step 2: Strike the First Two Glowing Spots

While in Tepetlisaurus form, burrow underground and hit the first glowing spot located near two spotted rocks close to the locked chest. You will receive a few items as a reward. Then, head southwest to the next glowing spot located by three spotted rocks adjacent to the Shrine of Depths for additional rewards.

Step 3: Strike the Next Two Glowing Spots

From your previous position, turn around and go northwest to find another set of three spotted rocks. Hit the glowing spot found on the ground there. Afterwards, continue northwest for a short distance to a second group of three spotted rocks and strike the glowing spot again.

After hitting all four glowing spots, the Common Chest will become unlocked. Return to the chest to collect your rewards.

Step 5: Activate the Glowing Spot After Opening the Common Chest

Once you unlock and open the Common Chest, burrow underground once more. You will detect another glowing spot on the ground below. Strike this glowing spot to reveal the hidden Precious Chest and claim its rewards.
