Unlocking the Somersault Cloud Spell in Black Myth Wukong

The captivating tale of Black Myth: Wukong immerses players in ancient China, allowing them to take control of the protagonist known as the “Destined One,”Sun Wukong. Throughout his journey, Sun Wukong encounters colossal bosses and mythical beasts, employing various tactics and abilities to triumph in battle.

Among his arsenal of spells, Sun Wukong can utilize the Somersault Cloud spell, which becomes available late in the game during Chapter 6, the concluding chapter. This powerful spell significantly enhances traversal, making it much easier for players to navigate the expansive map as Sun Wukong.

How to Obtain the Somersault Cloud Spell

Acquiring the Somersault Cloud spell is a challenging yet brief undertaking, involving the defeat of a specific boss. Located in the Mount Huaguo region, players must assist Sun Wukong in vanquishing the Supreme Inspector in the Foothills area.

Fortunately, the Supreme Inspector isn’t far from the Verdant Path Keeper’s Shrine and is a primary boss that players must confront to progress in the storyline. As players approach, a cutscene will trigger to signal the upcoming battle. This confrontation can be quite lengthy, demanding strategic gameplay to defeat the boss. Using the Immobilize spell effectively and dodging attacks are crucial tactics to employ during this encounter.

Upon defeating the Supreme Inspector, players receive standard rewards such as XP and Will, along with a Celestial Ribbon and the coveted Somersault Cloud spell. This spell allows the protagonist to summon a cloud at will, greatly enhancing travel and making lengthy journeys significantly more efficient.

Using the Somersault Cloud Spell

As a spell rather than a consumable item, the Somersault Cloud must first be equipped before players can utilize it. Once equipped, traversing Mount Huaguo becomes a breeze. However, the game restricts this spell’s use to Chapter 6 and prohibits its activation during combat scenarios.

Despite these limitations, the Somersault Cloud spell facilitates swift movement across smaller regions in Chapter 6. It also boasts no cooldown period or Mana cost, ensuring seamless and effortless transportation.
