Rumors regarding R&B singer Fantasia Barrino’s daughter, Zion, being hospitalized have recently circulated across social media platforms. This speculation originated from a website and a Facebook page that reported she was admitted to the ICU.
In response to these claims, Zion has taken to social media to clarify her health status.
In September, BCK Online and the Facebook page Entertainment Enigma reported that the celebrity offspring was in critical condition and hospitalized. The Facebook page also posted an image of Zion in the hospital on September 16, stating she had “a few days to live.”
The Facebook page further linked to the BigOakBay website, which detailed:
“Fantasia recounted a hospital visit during which Zion underwent a minor procedure. Despite feeling anxious, Fantasia maintained her composure to shield Zion from her own fears, understanding her daughter’s nerves and being a source of calm and reassurance.”
As the rumors about Zion’s health spread, she addressed the situation directly online.
Fantasia Barrino’s Daughter Zion Confirms She is Healthy
According to BCK Online, Zion utilized her Instagram stories to dispel the ICU rumors. In an Instagram story that has since vanished, the 23-year-old stated:
“I’m not in the ICU. And wishing death upon me is really f**ked up,”
This clarification indicates that the claims about Zion’s health are completely unfounded.
Zion’s full name is Zion Quari Barrino, and she is the eldest child of Fantasia Barrino and Brandel Shouse.
Zion made a notable appearance in her mother’s 2017 music video “When I Met You”and launched her makeup line, Quari Beauty, in December 2022. Fantasia took to Instagram to express her pride in her daughter, stating:
“She was my motivation to go for all I did. She was my biggest investor. Now I’ll invest back into her.”
Recently, Zion has also been involved in an undisclosed filming project alongside rapper David Banner, as indicated on Fantasia’s Instagram account.
Fantasia Barrino is also the mother of Dallas Xavier Barrino and Keziah London Taylor, aged 12 and 3, respectively.

Last August, Zion Barrino shared her achievement of reaching 60 days of sobriety on Threads. She informed her followers about being “sick for 3 weeks”before starting her “new journey.”Zion expressed:
