Valkyrae Makes a Comeback on Twitch

After a successful five-year stint streaming exclusively on YouTube, popular content creator Rachell Hofstetter, widely known as Valkyrae, has announced her return to Twitch. Her highly anticipated first livestream on the platform will take place on February 8, 2025, coinciding with both her birthday and her 10-year streaming anniversary.

Valkyrae initially made her mark on Twitch in 2015, gaining momentum during the Fortnite craze. As she rose to fame, she joined the gaming organization 100 Thieves, collaborating with well-known personalities such as Pokimane, Sykkuno, and PewDiePie. Following her ascension in the Twitch community, Hofstetter transitioned to YouTube, signing a two-year contract that required her to stream for a designated number of hours on the platform. Despite this shift, she successfully retained her audience and even secured two additional exclusivity contracts with YouTube.

In her Twitter announcement, Valkyrae teased an exciting collaboration with Pokimane, who expressed enthusiasm for joining the return livestream. Additional support flooded in from fellow Twitch streamers, reinforcing the notion that viewers often remain loyal to their favorite creators rather than their original platforms. This shift suggests many of Valkyrae’s dedicated YouTube followers may transition to her Twitch channel with ease.

Beyond her streaming activities, Valkyrae has engaged in diverse projects. In 2022, she lent her voice to the character Squad Commander Red in the animated series Sonic Prime. More recently, she appeared as herself in the 2023 movie The Family Plan starring Mark Wahlberg. Looking ahead, she is also set to make a cameo in the anticipated A Minecraft Movie, scheduled for release in April 2025.
