He emphasized, “If you visit Puerto Rico, you will witness its beauty.” Furthermore, he expressed his admiration for the island through a recent tribute video shared with his 45 million Instagram followers. While he captioned the post “garbage,” the content depicted anything but. The video, showcased during his December 2021 concert in Puerto Rico, celebrated the island, its inhabitants, and their global influence.

Puerto Rico has been home to extraordinary athletes, celebrated in Bad Bunny’s video. Meanwhile, figures like JD Vance suggest that people should “stop being so sensitive,” yet Latino voters hold significant influence in the electoral process. With Pennsylvania hosting the fourth largest Puerto Rican population in the nation, although residents of Puerto Rico do not have voting rights, those who have moved to pivotal states do. This “joke” could significantly impact Trump’s support among Latino voters—and possibly his chances for re-election.
