Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 features 6 distinct classes, each requiring leveling up to a maximum of 25, which can become quite time-consuming. This guide outlines the most effective strategies for efficiently gaining levels in Space Marine 2.
PVE: Operations
After advancing through the initial missions of the campaign, you will unlock Operations, which are cooperative skirmishes you can join with other players. There are 6 Operations available, each offering various amounts of XP and Requisitions as rewards. Additionally, you can select from 4 unique difficulty levels for these Operations, known as Threat Levels:
- Minimal: Recommended Level 1
- Average: Recommended Level 5
- Substantial: Recommended Level 10
- Ruthless: Recommended Level 15
The Threat Level Minimal caps at 630 XP per completed Operation, while the highest difficulty, Threat Level Ruthless, rewards players with 1890 XP for a successful run. These XP totals are guaranteed for winning Operations. Moreover, players can earn an extra 10 XP for being the top scorer in categories like Kills or Items Found.
Initially, it’s advisable to tackle Threat Levels that correspond with your Class level, as the difficulty significantly increases beyond these thresholds. For farming experience points, Threat Level Substantial provides a smooth experience once you exceed the recommended level of 10, granting a respectable 1260 guaranteed XP per victory along with bonuses.
For Operation selection focused on XP farming, the best choice is Operation 02: Decapitation, due to its faster pace compared to other Operations. Note that it includes a boss encounter at the end. Since victory hinges on reaching the end of the operation, prioritize rushing through content and avoiding most enemies. This mission can typically be completed in about 15 minutes.
PVP: Capture And Control
In PVP mode, while there is a dedicated XP bar, Capture and Control stands out as the optimal game mode for farming XP. Matches can generally be completed in less than 10 minutes, yielding around 1500 XP for a win, though this varies based on individual performance, including kills and assists.
With these tips, you can quickly accumulate XP and level up efficiently in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
