Why Traitors Season 3 Could Be the Best Yet with These Key Cast Members

The anticipation for season 3 of The Traitors is building up, and it promises to be an exciting installment if the right cast members take on the roles of the Traitors. Since its inception, this reality competition has evolved significantly. The inaugural season in the United States featured a diverse mix of reality stars and civilians, creating a stark contrast with the UK version, which strictly consisted of a civilian ensemble. Personally, I believe that the inclusion of reality television personalities aligns better with the show’s format in the US.

Unlike the first season, which sought balance, season 2 embraced an entirely reality TV-centric cast, bringing together renowned figures from various reality franchises. This shift excited many fans eager to see their favorite competitive players navigate a different kind of strategy. While I have a fondness for Big Brother alumni Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina, it was equally captivating to watch stars like Peter Weber from The Bachelor and Phaedra Parks from The Real Housewives of Atlanta face off in such a high-stakes environment.

As we look forward to season 3, extensive buzz surrounding the cast has emerged well in advance of filming. This new cohort boasts a mix of iconic personalities, predominantly from reality TV, alongside a few notable entertainers. Many in this lineup seem well-equipped to excel in the game, although some may serve better as Faithfuls than Traitors. Still, if chosen wisely, this season could potentially outshine the previous ones.

Britney Haynes

While skills honed on Big Brother may not directly translate to other reality competitions, the strategies of deception and manipulation developed in the Big Brother house can certainly benefit a contestant in The Traitors. Britney Haynes, known for her appearances in Big Brother 12 and 14, as well as Big Brother: Reindeer Games, excels in social gameplay rather than physical challenges, making her a perfect fit for The Traitors. Her unassuming nature could enhance her effectiveness as a Traitor. I’d relish the chance to see Britney’s strategic moves unfold as she attempts to manipulate the Faithful.

Tony Vlachos

Survivor

Tony Vlachos is a formidable contender for The Traitors, boasting the title of a multi-season champion on Survivor. While casting him as a Traitor might seem obvious, his mere presence would make the other contestants suspicious regardless of his actual role. Known for his tactical deception and quick thinking during critical moments on Survivor, Tony’s strategic prowess would undoubtedly shine during the rounds of accusations and intrigue at the Traitors’ table.

Tom Sandoval

Although Tom Sandoval may not be the most popular member of Vanderpump Rules, his journey on The Traitors season 3 will undoubtedly be intriguing. Initially, I questioned his compatibility with the format, but upon reflection, Tom’s penchant for duplicitous behavior makes him a suitable candidate. His ability to deceive his ex-partner, Ariana Madix, during a public affair demonstrates that he is adept at manipulation, which would serve him well in the world of Traitors and Faithfuls.

Rob Mariano

Rob Mariano, affectionately known as “Boston Rob,”is regarded as one of the most legendary figures in Survivor history. His reputation precedes him, setting an expectation for him to be cast as a Traitor. With qualities similar to fellow contestants Dan Gheesling and Tony Vlachos, Rob is expected to excel in this role. His charm and adaptability are instrumental skills that could effectively sway opinions and manipulate dynamics within the game. Rob’s ability to downplay his strengths could be a significant advantage, creating an air of unassuming confidence.

Gabby Windey

The Bachelorette

Gabby Windey is best known for her role on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, having co-led the latter with Rachel Recchia. However, her transformation into a sharp-witted content creator has reshaped her public image into that of a savvy strategist. While Gabby has skillfully maintained her brand online, she could surprise many as a Traitor. Her cunning nature and confidence make her an intriguing candidate that could complicate the game’s dynamics significantly. I’m excited to see how she would navigate the treacherous waters of deception and strategy in The Traitors.

Mark your calendars: The Traitors season 3 is set to premiere on January 9, 2025, exclusively on Peacock.
