Spiders Games is in the process of developing Greedfall 2: The Dying World, which is expected to be released to the public on September 24, 2024. This new installment serves as a prequel to the acclaimed 2019 title, Greedfall. In this adventure, players assume the role of a native Teer Fradeean who has been kidnapped, working to navigate the world and find a way back to their homeland.

An often-asked question is whether this highly anticipated game will launch on next-gen consoles. The answer is a resounding yes, Greedfall 2 will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, although the specific timing for the console release is currently unclear.

Set three years prior to the original game, Greedfall 2: The Dying World places players in the role of a Teer Fradee native abducted and transported to the continent of Gacane, often referred to as the Old Continent. This region is ravaged by the Malichor plague, which has taken countless lives. Additionally, players will encounter challenges such as scavenging and significant political unrest.

While exploring the world inhabited by the “renaigse,”or outsiders, players must fight for their freedom to return home. Combat is certainly an option, but players can also utilize negotiation skills to resolve conflicts or cleverly navigate around unwanted confrontations.

Notable locales such as the city of Olina, known as the City of the Stars, and the Bridge Alliance can be explored along with the scenic shores of Uxantis and additional areas of the Deutian Empire.
