Manager Clarifies Mino’s Military Service Situation
The manager of Mino’s workplace, the Mapo Community Center, has addressed the ongoing investigation surrounding the idol, emphasizing that he has not been accorded any special treatment. This statement comes in light of scrutiny from the Military Manpower Administration, as reported by Star News.
Routine Oversight of Attendance
According to the manager, Mino’s daily attendance was monitored regularly. “I saw (Song) Mino once a day to verify he reported for duty and collected his signature,”they stated. However, they acknowledged that their oversight might have been less frequent at times due to other responsibilities. The Military Manpower Administration is currently reviewing attendance records via CCTV footage to ensure proper compliance.
Mino’s Health Challenges
During his physical examination, Mino received a Grade 4 supplementary service rating and has been open about his struggles with panic and bipolar disorders. In an effort to support him, the director of the Community Center suggested that Mino consider an early discharge based on his medical condition.
“Song Mino refused and said that he would endure it somehow. He said he had to complete the service before he gets discharged,”the manager shared.
Leave for Medical Recovery
Mino has utilized two consecutive paid sick leaves to focus on his recovery. Describing the extent of his challenges, the manager mentioned, “It’s hard for him to even lead a normal life. His condition goes from high to low in cycles.”The idol’s health reportedly deteriorated further in the months of February and April, indicating a significant struggle with his mental health.
Continued Health Concerns
The manager conveyed ongoing concerns for Mino’s mental well-being, noting that he remains hospitalized. This ongoing situation underscores the importance of mental health awareness, particularly for public figures under pressure.
