World of Warcraft Introduces New Method for Acquiring Lost Legendary Items

Overview of New Legendary Item Vendors

  • New trade NPCs are now operating in major cities, offering lost Legendary items for 500 gold each.
  • Find Seeker Ke’rath in Orgrimmar or Seeker Najed in Stormwind for your items.
  • The items available for purchase must have been unlocked in the past, with some exceptions applying.

World of Warcraft has recently introduced a significant feature in Patch 11.0.7, where players can recover lost Legendary items through newly added NPCs located at the Transmogrification shops in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. This stealthy addition provides players with the opportunity to reacquire previously earned Legendary gear.

Legendary items in World of Warcraft stand out as some of the most challenging and prestigious pieces of equipment to obtain. Classics such as Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian, and Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, alongside newer additions like Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy, and Fyr’alath, the Dream Render from *Dragonflight*, often demand extensive grinding over weeks or even months.

With these new vendors, players who may have accidentally deleted or sold their Legendary weapons now have a viable path to regain them. Although this feature was not highlighted in the patch notes, gaming content creator MrGM drew attention to the discovery of Seeker Ke’rath and Seeker Najed, who each offer copies of previously unlocked Legendary items for 500 gold. This allows players to revisit their past achievements for cosmetic purposes, nostalgia, or personal pride.

Steps to Retrieve Lost Legendary Items

  • Before exploring the vendors, check if the Item Restoration feature can help.
  • Locate the two new Ethereal traders in the Transmogrification shops in major cities:
    • Seeker Najed in the Three Winds, Stormwind
    • Seeker Ke’rath in the Drag, Orgrimmar
  • Purchase missing Legendary or Artifact items for 500 gold each, provided you meet the following conditions:
    • Completion of relevant quests and achievements is mandatory.
    • Items such as the Heart of Azeroth revert to rank 1 upon purchase.
    • Rings from Warlords of Draenor and Artifact items from Legion must be acquired from respective vendors in their expansion zones.

To successfully purchase a Legendary item from these new vendors, players must ensure they have completed all associated quests and achievements, and confirm the item is not currently in their inventory or bank. Notably, some items like rings from *Warlords of Draenor* and various *Legion* gear can only be found at dedicated vendors within those expansion areas. Moreover, players should be aware that any upgradeable items, including Ashjra’kamas, Shroud of Resolve, and Heart of Azeroth, will revert to their lowest rank upon acquisition. Additionally, *World of Warcraft: Legion* Artifact weapons are not available through these vendors, as they cannot be deleted by any method.

Players are encouraged to utilize the Item Restoration feature prior to visiting these new vendors, as this method incurs no gold cost. In cases where an item has been permanently purged, these NPCs offer a secondary option for acquiring these coveted and rare items once again.
