Overview of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1
- Two new subzones are introduced: Gutterville and Kaja’Coast.
- Gutterville, located in the Ringing Deeps, may connect to the corrupted sections of Undermine.
- Kaja’Coast is positioned near Bilgewater Bonanza and is also likely tied to Undermine.
World of Warcraft is set to expand its universe in Patch 11.1, not only introducing the iconic Undermine zone but also unveiling additional subzones. These include Gutterville, a corrupted area in the Ringing Deeps, and Kaja’Coast, a new Goblin hub in Zuldazar. While the official launch date is expected in February, players can anticipate early access on the Public Test Realm post-New Year.
Introducing Undermined: A New Zone Awaits
Recently, developers revealed exciting details about Patch 11.1, aptly named “Undermined.”This comprehensive update transports players to Undermine, the bustling capital city of the Goblins. This underground metropolis is characterized by vibrant structures, confined alleyways, and an array of whimsical devices that define the Goblin aesthetic.
However, the additions in this patch extend beyond Undermine itself. According to recent data mining conducted by Wowhead, new subzones, including Gutterville, have been discovered within the game’s files. Situated in the southeastern area of the Ringing Deeps, Gutterville is speculated to house an entryway into Undermine. Its design suggests elements of corruption, evidenced by its dark maroon coloration, indicating the presence of the Black Blood. This subzone will prominently feature Excavation Site 9, one of the two new Delves introduced in this update.
Exploring the New Locations
- Undermine: The underground capital of the Goblins, featuring completely new terrain.
- Gutterville: A subzone located in the southeastern Ringing Deeps.
- Kaja’Coast: A newly added Goblin encampment on Zuldazar’s southwestern coast.
The Kaja’Coast offers a Goblin-centric experience, located near the Bilgewater Bonanza—a historic Azerite mining site managed by Gallywix during the Battle for Azeroth era. It is anticipated that this new area will feature a drill-like tram system that was first hinted at during the Warcraft Direct event, potentially serving as another access point to Undermine.
The Kaja’Coast station is noteworthy for its five distinct terminals showcased on the map. With Gutterville and Kaja’Coast confirmed, there may still be opportunities for three additional Goblin-themed locations elsewhere in Azeroth as part of the patch.
As of now, Patch 11.1 remains without an official release date, but projections suggest a mid to late February rollout. Players are advised that they will be able to explore the new content on the PTR beginning early January, allowing for an early taste of the latest World of Warcraft adventures.
