- WoW has lifted the time gate on Singing Citrines, granting players unrestricted access to all 12 gems available for Cyrce’s Circlet.
- This change is expected to go live by December 21, enabling players to acquire duplicate Citrines for 50 Flame-Blessed Iron.
- The unrestricted access to gems makes Cyrce’s Circlet a coveted item, particularly among dedicated raiders.
World of Warcraft has officially announced the removal of the time gate for Singing Citrines located on the Siren Isle. Players will now have the freedom to choose from all 12 gems without having to wait for specific weekly modifications. This highly anticipated update is set to be implemented in an imminent hotfix.
The Siren Isle, introduced in World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7, features rare spawns and an array of quests centered around three different enemy factions: Vrykul, Pirates, and Naga. Within this new zone, players can obtain the powerful Cyrce’s Circlet, which can be enhanced with three types of Singing Citrines. Initially, four gemstones were accessible in the first week, but the remaining eight were locked behind rotating weekly enemy modifiers.
Fortunately, in a recent forum post by WoW community manager Kaivax, it was revealed that players would no longer face restrictions. All Singing Citrines will now be readily available, and although those from Goblin, Earthen, and Arathi excavation events will continue to drop as usual, players can now also buy gems dropped by enemy factions from Taljori, the Tortollan vendor located behind Bargus at the Siren Isle campsite.
Removal of Siren Isle Singing Citrine Timegate
Kaivax explained that Blizzard’s initial strategy, which aimed to create excitement through the staggered release of Citrines, inadvertently led to more player frustration than anticipated. This change, expected to go live by December 20, simplifies the process of gathering all 12 Singing Citrines. Once acquired, players can repurchase duplicates for 50 Flame-Blessed Iron, allowing for greater flexibility in their character builds.
The response from the WoW community has been overwhelmingly positive. Many players recognized the original design’s intent but were left dissatisfied with its execution, particularly as some slots were hindered by less favorable modifiers. While players will still need to wait for Cyrce’s Circlet upgrade materials each week, the accessibility of Singing Citrines enhances overall gameplay experience.
Given its potency, Cyrce’s Circlet already outperformed most rings, except for those sourced from Mythic+ dungeons or raids. With the recent changes, it is poised to ascend as the top-tier ring, appealing especially to the most devoted raiders in the game.
