Unlike Genshin Impact, which revolves around 4-character teams with elemental synergies, Wuthering Waves utilizes 3-character teams that focus on buff synergies, including skill damage and the utility of Outro skills. Among the compelling characters introduced is Jinhsi, the Magistrate of Jinzhou, now playable with the version 1.1 update. As a primary DPS character, Jinhsi thrives on her Resonance Skill, proving indispensable across various gameplay situations. Notably, she stands alongside Verina and Spectro Rover as one of the few playable Spectro characters, making her particularly valuable where this element is advantageous. Zhezhi emerges as a robust support and sub-DPS option for Jinhsi, especially with the newly introduced Empyrean Anthem Echo set. Compared to alternatives like Yinlin or Yuanwu, Zhezhi’s optimal on-field time makes her perfect for stacking Incandescence, while her Outro ability further amplifies Jinhsi’s Resonance Skill.

To elevate the potential of both Jinhsi and Zhezhi, Shorekeeper serves as an outstanding addition. Her Intro and Outro skills provide critical rate and critical damage buffs to both characters while her Resonance Liberation is active. This combination is especially effective for players aiming to enhance their team composition. For those who may not have access to Shorekeeper or prefer a more budget-friendly option, Youhu can function effectively as an alternate choice. Youhu offers healing primarily and bolsters Zhezhi’s damage through her Outro skill, significantly amplifying Coordinated Attacks.

Spectro Rover excels not only as a hybrid DPS but also provides healing support following her Resonance Liberation, alongside unique defensive capabilities through her Outro skill that briefly suspends time for enemies, allowing uninterrupted attack sequences.

When incorporating Taoqi in a supporting role rather than as a hybrid sub-DPS, she can deliver some healing and damage reduction through shields. However, Taoqi’s primary asset lies in her Outro skill, which enhances the powering of Jinhsi’s Resonance Skill (Deepen) for increased damage output. This attribute makes Taoqi a more favorable option compared to characters like Sanhua, who primarily offer ATK buffs.

Baizhi functions similarly to Verina by offering valuable team-wide healing and increasing damage through her Outro skill. Although Baizhi’s buffs are designed for a single character, the frequency of Outro skill usage allows for optimal management during combat, making her a competent support character for Jinhsi and ensuring sustained damage boosts and healing throughout encounters.

General Rotation of Jinhsi Teams

Wuthering Waves Sanhua, Rover, and Jinhsi

Jinhsi benefits from a relatively concise combo, allowing more frequent character swaps compared to other DPS characters requiring longer field time. Players should adhere to the following general order in Jinhsi’s rotation:

Intro > Skill (Enter First Enhanced State – Incarnation) > Enhanced State Skill > Echo > 4x Basic Attacks (Enter Second Enhanced State – Ordination Glow) > Second Enhanced State Skill (Primary Damage Dealer) > Resonance Liberation > Outro.

It is important to note that both her Resonance Liberation and Echo damage can be activated at any point during the rotation, provided players pay close attention to the duration of each state. Furthermore, players aren’t required to complete the 4 Basic attacks consecutively, instead, they must ensure the final Basic attack occurs before the duration expires to transition to the subsequent Enhanced State. Engaging with all characters increases Incandescence stacks, encouraging players to swap to characters like Yuanwu to maximize stack accumulation.
