YG Entertainment Addresses Concerns Regarding Song Mino’s Public Service Performance
YG Entertainment has publicly addressed the recent allegations concerning Song Mino, a member of the K-pop group WINNER, and his performance during his public service duties. These reports gained traction when Dispatch conducted an elaborate investigation into the situation.
The Allegations and Investigation
The controversy erupted on December 17 when Dispatch released a detailed article claiming that Song Mino had not been adequately performing his responsibilities as a social service worker at the Mapo Resident Convenience Facility. The report stated that when Dispatch visited the facility on November 11, Mino was absent from his post. Subsequent visits during November 12 to 15 also did not yield any sightings of the idol.
Further complicating the investigation, Dispatch contacted Mino’s manager at the facility, referred to as Manager “L.”The team’s inquiry into Mino’s daily working hours was met with reluctance as the manager declined to disclose attendance records or CCTV footage, citing privacy issues. Notably, the report mentioned instances of sick leave and annual leave taken by the idol.
Response from YG Entertainment
In response to the unfolding situation, YG Entertainment released a statement that addressed the controversy directly. The statement indicated that confirming the specifics of Mino’s public service performance is challenging.
YG further clarified, stating, “The reason for a sick leave is an extension of the treatment he had been receiving prior to his service, and all other leaves were used in accordance with the regulations.”Additionally, the Mapo Residents’ Convenience Facility plans to issue their own statement to provide further insight into Mino’s compliance with service regulations.
As the story develops, both the entertainment industry and fans are keen to understand the full context of Song Mino’s public service responsibilities and the implications of these allegations.
